Meet the doctors
Hello from the Potrero Hill Dental Team! We’re a small group of dental nerds who love what we do, and we’re excited to be advocates for your oral health. When you meet us, you’ll find that we’re all here for the same reason - to provide individualized, top-notch care to each of our patients in a comfortable atmosphere. We love our team and can’t wait for you to meet everyone who makes Potrero Hill Dental a place we love to work!
Jane Choi, DDS
Dr. Choi, an east coast transplant, started her dental journey in forensic dentistry as an undergrad studying skeletal remains in North Carolina. She decided that she’d much rather interact with living people, so she completed her dental doctorate with honors at the UNC School of Dentistry in 2010 and continued her post-grad training at the VA Medical Center in Long Beach. Along the way, she filled her passport with dental mission trips to Guatemala and Honduras and oral surgery externships in Brazil and South Africa. To share her passion for dentistry, she taught as an instructor at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. She continues to stay at the cutting edge of dentistry through continuing education; most recently, she completed training at UCSF in dental sleep medicine.
When she doesn’t have her hands in people’s mouths, Dr. Choi and her husband wrangle their two kids to find the best playground in SF.
Nancy Ly, DDS
Born and raised in San Jose, Dr. Ly received her B.S. in Biology at the University of the Pacific. She continued her dental training at the UOP School of Dentistry and received her doctorate with honors in 2011, where she was awarded for her clinical achievements and dedication to community service and received the first place award for Clinical Excellence in Complex Restorative Dentistry. Upon graduation from dental school, she moved to NYC where she received advanced training at the General Practice Residency program at Jacobi Hospital. After working in and enjoying the fast-paced life of Manhattan, Dr. Ly moved back to San Francisco to be closer to her family.
Dr. Ly is a faculty member in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and San Francisco Dental Society.
When not spending time with her family, Dr. Ly can be found photographing different landscapes around the Bay Area and beyond - constantly adding to her digital photo library.
Kimberly Louie, DDS
Dr. Louie was born and raised in Sacramento. Though her pedigree is in optometry (both parents and her sister), that didn't stop her from pursuing her dental degree. She received her B.S. in Biology at Cal Poly, then went straight onto her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 2011. After she finished her education, Dr. Louie set off to Jamaica and Peru on dental mission trips, where she was able to use her acquired skills in helping those who are less fortunate.
Dr. Louie strives to practice the way she tries to live her life: by treating everyone the way she would like to be treated - with respect, honesty, and giving her best quality of work. When she's not helping her patients with their dental needs, Dr. Louie enjoys a wide variety of outdoor activities, including boating, wake boarding and playing paintball. In her free time, she lives by the motto "I'll try anything once".
Connie Wang, DDS
Dr. Wang was born in Texas and raised in the South. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a loyal Tar Heel, she continued her dental training at UNC, where she served her community as an Albert Schweitzer fellow and earned awards for her clinical, academic and research work. She graduated with honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. She then completed a year of advanced training in general dentistry at the VA Medical Center in San Francisco, where she trained with renowned clinicians and oral and maxillofacial surgeons to manage complex cases.
After falling in love with the city, she now calls the Bay Area home. During her free time, you can find Dr. Wang making ceramics at the pottery wheel and indulging her sweet tooth.
